The Opportunity

The Banking and Investment Services ACH Operations Analyst role is designed to provide operational support for ACH activity originated by bank clientele. The role will provide you with the ability to gain specific and practical experience to learn, contribute, and integrate within City National Bank.

The Responsibilities

  • Transaction and processing support for the ACH payment platform
  • ACH Exception processing for ACH Origination.
  • Positive Pay for ACH
  • Account Research
  • Originator Information
  • Reversals according to Nacha guidelines
  • Letters of Indemnity/Hold Harmless Letters.
  • Management of real time risk, reporting, and escalation
  • High Profile and High Net Worth Client and Advisor service
  • Data driven approach to safety, soundness, planning, and forecasting
  • Future technologies, and change management practice to implementation

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Relevant processing databases, Microsoft Office and Outlook applications to create/edit documents, reports and correspondence. (For ACH Specialist)
  • NACHA rules, regulations and practices, FINRA regulations, CNB and Anti Money Laundering policies with an eye for situations that could present risk to the firm.
  • ACH related reports to review and report assignments. (For Cash Control Specialist)
  • Transcentra's Remote Deposit Capture System, including back office search and error resolution capability.
  • UCC regulations around the negotiability of domestic checks, foreign checks, drafts and official items.

Skill in:

  • Detail orientation and flexibility sufficient to handle high volume of phone calls and emails requiring swift and accurate analytical and supportive responses.
  • Analyzing operational processes, researching and resolving complex issues as well as identifying opportunities for improvement.

Ability to:

  • Project a professional demeanor while training associates on new duties and tasks.
  • Communicate, both written and verbal, sufficient to interact with associates at all levels of the organization as well as clients, FA's and Branch personnel.
  • Research and interpret complicated activity.
  • Work independently and in cooperation with supervisor and peers.
  • Work well under stressful situations generated by time-sensitive tasks, fluctuations in workflow and call volume.
  • Effectively manage a minimum of three to five priorities or deadlines at any given moment with great attention to detail and organization, without compromising productivity or quality.
  • Field inbound calls through an ACD line in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Effectively manage escalations/complaints and influence conducive resolutions
  • Prioritize and delegate workloads to satisfy deadlines.
  • Incite enthusiasm and influence, motivate and persuade others to achieve desired outcomes without benefit of formal organizational authority.
  • High School Diploma or higher

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $22.80/hour - $30.41/hour
