DIRECTOR THEMATIC EQUITY RESEARCH

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Director of Thematic Equity Research leads the firm's efforts in identifying, analyzing, and synthesizing major investment themes that drive global equity markets. This senior role combines deep market expertise with strategic insight to enhance our investment process and product capabilities.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Lead the identification and analysis of emerging secular themes across global equity markets
• Provide strategic insights on cross-sector trends and their implications for portfolio positioning
• Author comprehensive thematic research pieces integrating multiple sector perspectives
• Partner with sector analysts to identify companies best positioned to benefit from identified themes
• Monitor and analyze disruptive technologies, demographic shifts, and regulatory changes that could impact equity markets
• Support product development initiatives by providing thematic research frameworks
• Present thematic investment insights to institutional clients and internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with portfolio managers to translate thematic insights into actionable investment ideas
• Evaluate potential new investment opportunities arising from structural market changes
• Maintain relationships with industry experts and research providers to enhance thematic coverage

Must-Have*

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent finance, economics, or related field preferred
• Minimum 15 years financial services experience
• Minimum 10 years of equity research experience with demonstrated sector expertise
• Minimum 12 years investment experience recommending and/or making investment decisions across multiple strategies, including long-short and long-only

Skills and Knowledge

• Extensive experience in equity research, portfolio management, or related investment role
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex market dynamics into actionable insights
• Strong track record of identifying and analyzing investment themes
• Excellence in written and verbal communication
• Deep understanding of global equity markets and cross-sector dynamics

COMPENSATION
Starting base salary: $157,943 - $293,299 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
