Do you want to spend the summer working outside while helping to maintain the River Valley Parks and Facilities? The Community and Recreation Facilities Branch has Labourer I positions available where you would be working in various parks throughout the River Valley.

In this position, you will maintain and service parks including caretaking of amenity buildings, event and picnic booking support, park maintenance, park signage, and litter cleanup.

The River Valley & Horticulture Section of the Community & Recreation Facilities Branch is looking to recruit motivated labourers to support the team with maintaining the River Valley and surrounding areas.

With a focus on the City of Edmonton's Cultural Commitments to Safe, Helpful, Accountable, Integrated and Excellent, you will:

• Complete janitorial duties throughout River Valley parks
• Collect refuse in parks and trails
• Operate and complete minor equipment maintenance
• Perform security checks on assigned premises
• Use tools such as shovels, rakes, stake pounders, and small hand tools
• Load and unload materials from trucks
• Respond to public inquiries
• Assist co workers and perform other related duties as required
• Perform other related duties as required
