Description

As the Supervisor of Procurement and Warranty, you will lead, manage, and provide structure for the Branch's procurement and warranty processes. You will manage a high volume of procurements, monitor all procurements, and ensure compliance with procurement directives, policies, and procedures. You will also oversee the processing of warranty claims, negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers, and advocate for solutions that minimize cost impacts and increase asset reliability. Your leadership, financial acumen, and commitment to continuous improvement will be essential to your success in this role.  

What Will You Do?

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of procurement and warranty professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Oversee the Branch's procurement portfolio, ensuring compliance with City policies, procedures, and trade agreement requirements
  • Manage and resolve conflicts between internal stakeholders during the procurement and contract phases
  • Monitor and track procurement plan performance, resolving any issues that may arise
  • Oversee the processing of warranty claims, including negotiations and recoveries
  • Develop and maintain procurement-related dashboards and reports to ensure portfolio visibility and performance
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Corporate/Department contract and supplier management framework
  • Communicate and adhere to the City of Edmonton's Safety Management System, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment
