Commonwealth Stadium is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to lead our team in managing the day-to-day operations of the venue. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our events and the satisfaction of our clients and guests. 

The Manager, Stadium Operations and Events is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Commonwealth Stadium, Clarke Stadium, and Joe Clarke Athletic Grounds. This includes managing a team of approximately 300 staff, ensuring the safety and security of the facilities, and coordinating with event promoters and producers to ensure the successful execution of events. 

What Will You Do?

• Supervise and manage a team of approximately 300 staff, including performance reviews, learning plans, and performance plans
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of Commonwealth Stadium, Clarke Stadium, and Joe Clarke Athletic Grounds
• Ensure the safety and security of the facilities for all events and activities
• Evaluating and adjusting workloads, resources and priorities to achieve the vision and mission of the branch
• Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans  
• Manage and maintain the Stadium's annual operating budget
• Coordinate with event promoters and producers to ensure the successful execution of events 
• Collaborate with other City departments, including Edmonton Transit, Edmonton Police, and Emergency Services
• Contribute to the development of capital development plans and facility master plans
• Collaborate and maintain positive relationships with event promoters and ensure appropriate facilities and specifications for national, international and professional sport partners
