Pharmacy Liaisons Manager

CPS Solutions is seeking highly motivated and customer service-oriented pharmacy professionals who want to elevate their career to the next level. We are currently conducting a search for a full time, exempt Pharmacy Liaisons Manager to join a growing team of colleagues at our customer site, Southern Ohio Medical Center in Wheelersburg, OH to provide outstanding service to patients with complex, specialty diseases to help them achieve improved clinical outcomes. The Pharmacy Liaisons Manager will provide leadership for Pharmacy Liaisons while providing additional structural support to site leaders as work volume and workforce size expand at customer sites. This role will require partnership with site leaders in assisting with operational oversight as well as people management at customer sites with more than 15 Liaisons.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspire peers to provide best-in-class service to their patients through highly efficient service, quality of care, and understanding of responsibilities. 
  • Provide leadership support to the onsite team in people management including, but not limited to: 
    • Liaison growth and development 
    • Liaison staffing coverage 
    • Employee-relations matters (via partnership with CPS Human Resources) 
    • Performance evaluations 
    • Interviewing, hiring, training of liaisons 
  • Participate and lead team meetings with site leadership. 
  • Monitor, document, and track site metrics such as Talk Desk, SLAs, quality/accreditation, productivity, etc. daily and review ongoing trends to improve site performance. 
  • Collaborate with site leadership to support daily patient care activities in the form of queue management. 
  • Plan, assign, and evaluate the work of onsite liaisons. 
  • Develop and maintain an escalation protocol on situation-specific matters. 
  • Work closely with Liaison Leads and Clinical Operations Manager (COM) to support day-to-day activities . 
  • Foster positive work environment and maintain Trellis values through implementing team activities and other morale-boosting events. 
  • Work independently while understanding the nuance of when it is appropriate to escalate to leadership; successfully navigate through the delicate landscape of leading in a complex environment at a customer site while following the appropriate chain of command. 
  • Supervise, coach, and guide onsite staff regarding daily tasks and responsibilities to ensure seamless business operation. 
  • Additional activities necessary to support the needs of the business and optimize efficiency at the site level. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

  Qualifications:

  • At minimum a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a pharmacy liaison or technician
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a leadership role in a healthcare setting
  • Registered, or the ability to become registered as a pharmacy technician in the state of OH
  • Experience interacting with physicians, nurses, or other healthcare professionals (preferably in a medical clinic)
  • Knowledge of benefits investigation, prior authorization support, and patient financial assistance work highly preferred
  • Strong people skills and the ability to work with teams across customers
  • Proficiency in standard workplace software (e.g., MS Office), EMR systems (e.g., EPIC, Cerner, or Meditech), and dispensing systems (e.g., QS1, RX30, or Computer Rx) highly preferred
  • The ability to start from scratch, execute quickly and accurately without pre-defined processes and protocols, and an interest in defining such processes for the future
  • The patience to adapt to patients' and customers' preferences and processes, while always upholding Trellis standards

And bonus points if you have:

  • Experience in a health system specialty pharmacy as an in-clinic liaison
  • Experience working with various disease states

Hospital Requirements: (may be required)

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series 
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1 st -April 30 th  
  • COVID Vaccine-Full
