Pharmacy Technician - Full Time

As a full time, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will work primarily in the IV room; IV certification is required. Your responsibilities may also include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
Schedule: This position is scheduled to work a minimum of 32 hours a week. Monday through Friday from 9:30AM to 6:00PM.
About the Facility: Houston Physicians' Hospital features 15 private inpatient bedrooms, 12 bed brand new observation unit, 18 pre-op bed, 24 PACU beds, 11 operating room suites, 2 procedure rooms and 2 cath lab suites that feature state-of-the-art medical technology. Patients with a procedure requiring an overnight stay will recover in one of our 21 private rooms designed to calm the mind and enhance the recovery process. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy utilizes Paragon for order entry and Pyxis dispensing cabinets. Pharmacy hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 6:30AM-6:00PM.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Recent experience in an acute care/hospital pharmacy (preferred)
- Texas Pharmacy Technician License
- Sterile IV Certification
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
Hospital Requirements: (may be required)
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine
