Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem (16 hours/week) 
Hickory Trail Hospital
DeSoto, TX

Description
: As a per diem, nonexempt, CPS Solutions, LLC Technician at Hickory Trail Hospital you will assist in various pharmacy activities, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and other duties not requiring the review of a pharmacist. The majority of tasks and responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications.  Other duties include maintaining patient records, and setting up, packaging, and labeling of medication doses and billing. You will perform job duties under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures and guidelines, and state regulatory requirements.

Schedule: This position is scheduled to work 16 hours per week, rotating weekday shifts from 6:30AM to 3:00PM and weekend shifts from 7:00AM to 11:00PM. 

About the Facility:  Hickory Trail Hospital provides inpatient and day treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults. Our professional staff individualizes care to uniquely fit the intensity and severity of each client's case and their family's needs. Because crisis occurs at all times of the day and night, our services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.

Pharmacy Hours:  Currently open Monday-Friday 6:30AM- 3:00PM; Saturday & Sunday 7:00AM to 11:00AM. 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy 
  • Texas pharmacy technician license
  • PTCB Certification or willingness to obtain certification required
  • Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office 
  • Effective communication skills: verbal and written

Hospital Requirements: 

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test or proof of a TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or a blood titer proving immunity 
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or a blood titer proving immunity 
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination) 
  • (Flu) Influenza - required for hire between Oct 1st and April 30th 
  • COVID Vaccine
