Pharmacy Technician Trainee
Doctors' Center Hospital
Manatí, Puerto Rico


As a full-time, non-exempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician Trainee, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing; and auditing patient records. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements. 

Schedule:  This position will work 32 to 40 hours per week, and works rotating shifts 6:00am-3:00pm., 7:00am-4:00pm, 8:00am-5:00pm and 12:00pm-9:00pm during the week and rotating weekends (both Saturday and Sunday) from 7:00am-4:00pm.

Starting Pay: $10.50 per hour.

Facility: Doctors' Center Hospital is a state-of-the-art 300-bed acute care hospital that offers medical, surgical, intensive care, women's, and pediatric services. The spacious centralized pharmacy is located on the second floor of the hospital and is currently staffed with 25 pharmacy professionals.  The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 6:00am-9:00pm, and  Saturday/Sunday/Holidays from 7:00am-4:00pm.  CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

Required Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
  • Puerto Rico Pharmacy Technician Trainee License
  • Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written
  • Must speak fluent Spanish
  • Must reside in Puerto Rico

Hospital Requirements: (may be required)

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination) 
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th  
  • COVID Vaccine
