Staff Pharmacist - Full-Time
Doctors Center Hospital San Juan
San Juan, PR
As a full time exempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist,you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.
Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per week on a rotating schedule. Weekday shifts are 7:00AM - 3:30PM, 9:00AM - 5:30PM, and 11:30aM - 8:00PM. Weekend and holiday shifts are 7:00AM to 3:30PM.
Starting Pay: $104,000 to $108,000 annually, based on experience.
About the Facility: Doctors' Center Hospital-San Juan, is a is a state-of-the-art 100-bed acute care hospital that offers medical, surgical, intensive care, women's, and pediatric services. Doctors' Center Hospital-San Juan is one of three hospitals in the Doctors' Center Health System and is located in the heart of San Juan. The pharmacy, located on the main floor of the hospital, has recently been remodeled. CPS has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.
About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy is open Monday through Friday 7:00AM – 8:00PM; Weekends and Holidays 7:00AM – 3:30PM.
Required Qualifications:
- BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Current PR Pharmacist licensure in good standing
- Pharmacy experience in a healthcare/hospital environment preferred
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
- Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
- Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Hospital Requirements:
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of a negative TB test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps, and Rubella or a blood titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or a blood titer proving immunity
- Hep B3 Series (or declinations)
- (Flu) Influenza - required for hire between Oct 1st and April 30th
- COVID Vaccine
