A Day in the Life of a Clinical Quality Management Analyst

As a Clinical Quality Management Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing health outcomes by managing the abstraction, validation, and analysis of clinical data in adherence to national quality standards. You will analyze trends, generate reports, and collaborate with medical and nursing staff to enhance database accuracy and regulatory adherence. Your role includes supporting accreditation activities, monitoring regulatory changes, and assisting in process improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and accrediting agency requirements. Collaboratively, the analyst works with various departments to foster compliance and boost process improvements. The position requires proactive involvement in multiple projects, working in a dynamic environment where continuous learning and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required
  • One year of prior project management experience, leadership, or project oversight
  • Experience in a healthcare setting or a degree in a healthcare field
  • A degree in RHIT, healthcare informatics, computer sciences, data sciences, nursing, or other healthcare degree
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with Epic/Excellian, QualityNet, MHA, and other database reporting
  • Certification in clinical informatics, project/program management, and/or Lean Six Sigma certification.
Compensation and Benefits

The pay range listed above is the estimated starting pay range for this role. Actual pay rate offered depends on many factors including each individual employee's experience level, preferred education/certifications, along with market conditions.
