A Day in the Life of a Primary Care Clinic Nurse Manager

The Nurse Manager plays a critical role in leading the nursing staff and overseeing patient care quality in designated clinical areas, ensuring all practices align with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Responsibilities include reviewing and updating nursing policies, managing staff and resources effectively to achieve optimal throughput and patient satisfaction, and maintaining compliance. Collaboration with other healthcare leaders is vital to integrate and uphold high standards of nursing practice, which directly impacts patient outcomes. Financial oversight involves assisting with budget preparation and ensuring resources are used efficiently. The Nurse Manager also drives continuous improvement through quality assurance processes and staff education programs.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required
  • American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire
  • Experience in a clinic with successful performance in leadership functions
  • Current Minnesota RN license
Preferred
  • Previous leadership experience in area(s) responsible for
  • Minimum or 3 years of supervisory experience
Compensation and Benefits The pay range listed above is the estimated starting pay range for this role. Actual pay rate offered depends on many factors including each individual's experience level, preferred education/certifications, along with market conditions.
