A Day in the Life of an RN Clinic Coordinator Neurology ASN

This Neurology RN Coordinator role blends direct patient interaction with behind-the-scenes care coordination in a Monday–Friday day shift setting. You'll collaborate closely with neurologists, schedulers, and diagnostic teams to streamline care for patients with complex neurological conditions. Responsibilities include triaging clinical concerns, managing specialty medications, and ensuring patients stay informed and supported throughout their care journey. The role balances hands-on clinical work with strategic scheduling and workflow development, making organization and adaptability essential. Expect a steady rhythm of patient communication, care planning, and problem-solving that supports both provider efficiency and positive patient outcomes.

 

 

About the Neurology Department

At CRMC, our Neurology Department is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care for patients with complex neurological conditions—right here in our rural Minnesota community. From epilepsy and migraines to Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis, we serve as a trusted regional resource for expert diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management. Our board-certified neurologist works closely with skilled nursing staff to guide patients through every stage of their care journey, ensuring timely follow-up, clear education, and seamless coordination of services. In addition to general neurology care, we are proud to offer advanced diagnostic testing, including electromyography (EMG), to help pinpoint nerve and muscle disorders and create personalized treatment plans.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota
  • Minimum of 2 years RN experience in a clinical setting; neurology or specialty care preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient in use of electronic medical records (EPIC experience preferred)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-based model
Preferred
  • Previous experience coordinating care for chronic neurological conditions (e.g., epilepsy, MS, Parkinson's, migraines)
  • Experience with patient education, care planning, and provider support in a clinic setting
  • Neurology nursing certification or willingness to obtain within 18 months
Compensation and Benefits

The pay range is listed above. Actual pay rate offered is determined based on experience as an RN. Please be sure to include all applicable experience in your application.
