Description

Under direction from the CMO, provides patient care in both the inpatient and outpatient setting by diagnosing and treating disorders and diseases of the cardiovascular system, perform patient exams and order or conduct diagnostic testing, develop ongoing treatment and disease-management plans. This role will also prescribe medicine and coordinate referrals as necessary, conduct early-detection screenings and maintain accurate patient records and charts. Effective communication with patients, physicians, staff, and administration is crucial.

Position details:

  • Patient population - 65+
  • Monday-Friday Clinic 8 hours per day
  • Office patients:11-12 unless on call, reduced to 7-8
  • Invasive/ Non-Invasive procedures
  • Outpatient clinic, on call inpatient consults, study reading for both inpatient and outpatient
  • Call: Usually 1 weekday and every 5th weekend at this time

Requirements:

  • Completion of a residency in medicine and a fellowship in cardiology, in ACGME approved programs
  • Current BC/BE in Cardiology (American Board of Internal Medicine/Cardiology)
  • Valid state medical license as MD or DO
  • Valid DEA certificate
  • New grad or experienced cardiologist
