Description

**University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a Full-Time Midwife to help support their Magee-Womens Specialty Services Horizon offices in Farrell, Grove City, and Hermitage. This position will primarily located in Farrell with regular travel to the other offices.**

**Hours:** Monday-Friday, daylight hours. Rotating weekends and holidays. On call required.

**Location:** UPMC Horizon

**Position Specifics:** Obstetrics and Gynecology - Preferred Midwifery experience, preferred women's health nursing/labor suite experience.

**Department Details:** Magee Womens Specialty at Horizon, inclusive of 5 offices. Our team of physicians, midwives, and advanced practice providers collaborate to provide care across multiple communities in Northwestern, PA. All of our midwives deliver at UPMC Horizon Farrell, where the midwife will perform call in a supportive setting alongside physicians. Our midwives also are career ladder eligible!

**Purpose:**

The Staff CNM is a Certified Registered Nurse Midwife and a member of the care delivery team. The CNM, Staff is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care. The CNM, Staff has responsibility, authority and accountability for the provision of care through supervision by and collaboration with a physician. The CNM, Staff manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with all team members. The role of the CNM, Staff encompasses the beginnings of leadership, partnership, collaboration and supervision. The CNM, Staff establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. The Staff APP begins to demonstrate a commitment to the community and to their healthcare profession.

Registered Nurse (RN)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

Act 33 with renewal

Act 34 with renewal

Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

Must be eligible for licensure. CPR certification required. National certification, eligible for licensure by Pennsylvania board of nursing, eligible for certification as a CNM by Pennsylvan
