Description
Wood Health Company, Employer Services, a subsidiary of Wood County Hospital, is now accepting applications for an Occupational Health Registered Nurse. Under the direction of the Department Director and the Medical Staff, the care staff member assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, environment, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition, will provide care and processional excellence by implementing the occupational health program and overseeing the delivery of basic occupational health services. This individual provides superior customer service with the goal of exceeding customer expectations through innovation, initiative and courtesy.
Job Duties:
Identifies and assesses patients' needs/problems, performs and documents nursing care supported by assessment data.
Assists providers with procedures, exercises nursing clinical skills and administers medications.
Obtains proper approval from Managed Care Organizations, Employers, Bureau of Workers' Compensation, and Third-Party Administrators for further treatment of the patient, specialty referrals, rehabilitation, etc. in order to expedite and facilitate appropriate care.
Interprets lab values, responds appropriately, and reports abnormalities to providers.
Evaluates and modifies plan of care based on observable response of patient.
Coordinates work restrictions, set by provider, with the employee and employer.
Conducts testing and specimen collections including urine, drug screens, breath alcohol tests, respirator fit testing, pulmonary function testing, audiograms, and vision testing in accordance with regulatory standards and guidelines.

Hours - Per Diem
Shift - Varies between 8-4:30
Location - Maumee
Minimum Qualifications:
Licensed RN in the state of Ohio
Previous clinical experience in acute care/Emergency department or Occupational health and/or Infection Control preferred.
CPR certified
CAOHC Hearing Conservation certification preferred.
NIOSH Spirometry certification preferred.
