Job Summary:

Responsible for providing direct nursing care to assigned patients. The Registered Nurse's responsibilities include, but are not limited to utilization of the nursing process in the provision of care, communicating with all members of the health care team to assure patient goals are being met and coordinated, providing excellent customer service while supporting the patients and families physical and emotional health.

Education

Minimum:

Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program

Preferred:

Bachelor Degree in Nursing

Registration/Certification/Licensure:

Current PA RN license, Healthcare Provider CPR, and Act 33/73 clearances. ACLS and PALS required within one year of hire/transfer.

Preferred: ITLS

Experience

Minimum:

One year Med/Surg RN experience or six months prior Emergency Department/Prehospital experience in a clinical role (i. e Emergency Care Tech, Advanced Emergency Care Tech, EMT, Paramedic, etc.).

Preferred:

RN with two years of Step-Down/Telemetry experience or one year Emergency Department/Critical Care experience

Other Requirements:

Comprehensive Crisis Management per policy
