This announcement will be used to fill a full-time Registered Nurse Senior/Officer of the Day (OD) position at the Minneapolis Veterans Home.
This position will assist the Nursing Management team by providing clinical expertise and guidance to the Nursing Department to ensure continuous quality care delivery serving as the Officer of the Day. As the OD this position will be responsible for direct resident centered and resident focused care and assumes delegated authority in the absence of Nursing leadership.

**Minimum Qualifications**

Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for this position.
Licensed in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse, in good standing.
Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a long-term health care setting with primary responsibility for assessing nursing and health needs.
Experience with documenting and writing reports.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
**Preferred Qualifications**
Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse working in a Skilled Nursing facility with primary responsibility for coordinating and assessing plan of care.
Experience working in close cooperation with an interdisciplinary team.
Experience leading or supervising professional-level nursing staff.
**Additional Requirements**
Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check may be conducted on the top finalist(s) for the position(s). When conducted, a finalist must pass the DHS background check.
A Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment.
