Activities & Events Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Assistant to the Director of Celebrations.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours with some holidays, evenings, and weekends for planned events & outings.
• Assist in the development and oversight of resident activities. 
• Plan, schedule, and conduct programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for our residents.
• Attend ALL community planned functions: help coordinate the event from beginning to end, including set-up, running the event under the supervision of the Director of Celebrations, and breaking down for the event.
• Assist in preparing and organizing monthly calendar of events.
• Assist with inventory of and helping at Resident Happy Hours.
• Coordinate and assist with the Ambassador program and the production of the New Resident Welcome Binder 
• Cover the front desk for Concierge meal breaks.spi
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in social work, recreation, sociology, psychology or related field preferred, but not required 
• One to three years experience in Senior Living preferred
• Proficient verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to encourage and motivate older adults.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outloo,k and SharePoint.
• Demonstratable creative ability.
• Strong skills in organization, delegation, and consensus building.
