**Position Overview:**
We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Part-Time Caregiver to join our Memory Care team. The ideal candidate will bring a warm, patient demeanor and a commitment to improving the lives of our residents. This role is essential in providing day-to-day support and assistance to individuals living with dementia, Alzheimer's, and other memory impairments.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide compassionate care and assistance to residents diagnosed with memory-related conditions, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions to enhance their quality of life and stimulation.
- Monitor and document changes in residents' conditions and report any concerns to the nursing staff or management.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents.
- Help residents with mobility and physical therapy exercises when needed.
- Foster a supportive and positive atmosphere by encouraging independence and dignity.
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans and set personal goals for residents.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; certification in caregiving or nursing assistance is a plus.
- Previous experience in a caregiving role, particularly within memory care or geriatric settings, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with memory-related conditions and best practices for care.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to listen and respond to residents' needs effectively.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with seniors.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to perform tasks that may include lifting, carrying, and assisting residents with mobility.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach frequently.
