Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Culinary Service Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a passion for food service, and a commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences. The Culinary Service Supervisor will manage staff, ensure compliance with food safety standards, and contribute to menu planning while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate culinary staff to deliver excellent food service. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to enhance team skills and morale.

- Daily Operations: Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring that all food preparation and service align with company standards for quality, safety, and cleanliness. Ensure efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.

- Menu Planning: Collaborate with the Culinary Services Manager to develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal offerings and adhere to dietary restrictions and preferences.

- Food Safety Compliance: Ensure all food safety regulations and health codes are upheld within the kitchen and dining areas. Conduct regular safety inspections and training for all staff on proper food handling and sanitation practices.

- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, assist in the ordering of supplies, and ensure proper storage practices to minimize waste and maintain food quality.

- Customer Service: Engage with guests to gather feedback and address any concerns related to food quality or service. Ensure that all dining experiences meet or exceed guest expectations.

- Cost Control: Assist in managing food and labor costs to meet budgetary goals. Participate in menu engineering and analyze food costs to identify areas for improvement.

- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., nutrition, facilities, events) to coordinate services and events, ensuring seamless execution of culinary offerings.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in culinary service or kitchen management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and kitchen management software.
- Passion for food, customer service, and team development.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in a kitchen environment that may be hot and noisy.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
