**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Director to lead our memory care team at Heartis Senior Living. The Memory Care Director will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our memory care program, ensuring the highest standards of care for residents with memory-related conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. This individual will play a crucial role in promoting the well-being and independence of residents while supporting their families and staff.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Leadership & Management:**
- Direct, supervise, and mentor memory care staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, personalized care.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff on memory care best practices, dementia care techniques, and communication strategies.
- Collaborate with other departments and leadership to ensure overall facility goals are aligned with resident care quality.

- **Resident Care:**
- Assess residents' needs and develop tailored care plans that promote quality of life and address individual challenges.
- Monitor and evaluate residents' progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Foster a safe, engaging, and structured environment that encourages independence and social interaction amongst residents.

- **Family Support:**
- Serve as a primary point of contact for families, providing support, education, and resources related to memory care.
- Organize family meetings and facilitate open communication between families and staff regarding residents' care.

- **Program Development:**
- Develop and implement engaging programming and activities that enhance cognitive function, improve socialization, and promote emotional well-being for residents.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in memory care and dementia-related therapies.

- **Compliance & Quality Assurance:**
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory requirements related to memory care operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident care, incidents, and staff performance for quality assurance purposes.

**Qualifications:**

- Assoicates' degree in Nursing, Social Work, Gerontology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in memory care or senior living settings, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of dementia care principles, therapeutic interventions, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Certification as a Dementia Care Specialist or similar credential is a plus.
