**Job Title:** Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
**Location:** Baker Place Senior Living

**Reports to:** Kimberly Baez (RN) / Director of Health & Wellness
**Job Type:** Part-Time
** Must be flexible and willing to work both 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) and 3rd shift (10pm-6am). Weekends a MUST. Ability to pick up shifts if coverage is needed.
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team on a part-time basis. The LPN will provide essential nursing care to patients by assisting with daily activities, administering medications, and monitoring patient health. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Primary responsibilities include maintaining medication cart, cart reviews, pharmacy follow up, and administering medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety standards.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist in patient assessments, documenting health concerns and changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Assist with daily living activities such as hygiene, dressing, and mobility as needed.
- Participate in infection control protocols and maintain a safe, clean environment according to facility standards.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing education and training programs.
**Qualifications:**
- Current and valid LPN license in the state of NJ.
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills: ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and pharmacy practices.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature with a focus on patient-centered care.
