What's Under the Hood

That's Nice, But What's the Job?

Responsibilities of the Job (Or Better Known as, Your Next Destination)

This position is responsible for the intake of total loss claims via the phone, internal tools, and from 3rd party reporting portals. Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing mail received by the Total Loss Team and updating accounts accordingly.  Coordinator will assist is routing accounts once the Letter of Guarantee has been issued. Coordinator will review accounts for title release once the correct settlement has been received from insurance.

  • Communicate with various insurance carriers via phone and portal, to gather the total loss claim summary
  • Ensure all new total loss customers receive total loss confirmation email 
  • Review mail that has been received by Total Loss Team daily and work account as needed
  • Change route once the LOG has been issued and then send accounts with GAP to Specialist to file GAP claim
  • Communicate with various insurance companies regarding the title release via phone and email
  • Enter the title release request in qualified accounts, and refer for GAP claim if needed
  • Gather and review documents and accounts in order to cancel ancillary products manually and systematically 
  • Review accounts at the end of the total loss process to route out of total loss
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (The Good Stuff)

  • Clear, concise and professional written and oral communications and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, and ability to maintain a consistent and positive demeanor in a fast-paced work environment
  • Research state specifics title release requirements 
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task to ensure the achievement of assigned performance objectives.
  • Ability to effectively apply professional acumen and communication skills to favorably resolve issues escalated from internal and external customers.
  • Ability to drive departmental compliance with FDCPA requirements
  • Knowledge of collection policies/procedures including skip tracing and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and local state repossession law
  • Self-motivated with strong decision-making capabilities; ability to be a self-starter
  • Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented, and highly productive manner

Requirements (a.k.a. What You Need to Get the Job Done)

  • High School Diploma 
  • 2+ years of experience in collections, customer service, sales, or retail industry
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suites such as Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Knowledge in insurance or claims a plus
  • This is an onsite position
