Hybrid Role: Must be able to come on-site periodically and reside a commutable distance from the assigned work location.

Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE's emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.

Job Summary

***Job Code to be used in CFO only*** Performs corporate and strategic business unit financial functions. Duties involve recording transactions, account reconciliations, analyzing and explaining variances from budget to actual, audit and/or tax responsibilities. This entry level role is part of a CFO wide Progression with potential rotations into Audit Services, Controller's Office, Investor Relations, Regulatory Affairs, Tax, and/or Treasury.

Key Accountabilities
  • Compiles and balances financial data.
  • Utilizes continuous improvement and lean systems methodology to drive out costs and improve the quality of work/life balance.
  • Creates a positive working environment by supporting DTE Energy and the CFO's initiatives.
  • Analyzes financial data to identify problems and various solutions/improvements.
  • Assists in developing reports to communicate information.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economic
  • Individuals who will be obtaining their degree within nine (9) months from submitting interest will be considered; however, verification of the degree will be required prior to starting in the job
Other Qualifications

Preferred

  • Previous experience in Accounting, Finance or Economic

 

Other Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others.
  • Proficient verbal, nonverbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to organize work independently and to work in teams.
  • PC Proficiency, including experience with MS Office Products.
