What are the requirements to be considered for a position?

What happens if you are selected for the position?

  • In response to the financial challenge, the company has suspended promotional pay for this posting until further notice. Once the financial challenge is met, we will review pay against the pay range taking into consideration factors such as internal equity, prior work experience, etc. Any pay adjustments at that time will not be retroactive. Federal, State and Local taxes are not taken into consideration when evaluating a potential offer.
  • You decide to accept or decline the offer within the pre-specified timeline.


How to manage the transition to your new role?

  • You work with your current and new leader to determine a start date in your new position. Typically, this transition occurs in 2-3 pay cycles, but longer transition times can occur due to current business unit needs.
  • You should speak with your new leader about your primary storm assignment in your new role.
  • In certain location or job-specific roles, you may be required to complete a background check and drug screen to obtain physical and/or cyber access or to meet compliance requirements.

Job Summary

Serves as a critical role in providing direct support to a business unit executive or senior management. Plans, manages and executes a variety of initiatives that may encompass multiple disciplines in support of business priorities. Provides strategic perspective to senior leadership based on information from corporate and business unit strategic analyses. Position is designed to be a flexible resource for senior leadership to address a variety of corporate and strategic assignments. Span of control: May lead team of individual contributors.

Key Accountabilities

•    Provides support to executive or senior manager in the formulation and implementation of long-term business strategy and helps facilitate the strategic planning process
•    Represents senior management at Corporate and business unit meetings/committees for strategic, financial, legislative, or regulatory issues as needed
•    Prepares communications and presentations for the executive or senior management
•    Acts as the executive or senior management's trusted counsel and ensures that the executive or senior manager is well-prepared for a variety of situations
•    Seeks data and input from throughout the organization on issues deemed critical and obtains/ensures alignment among stakeholders
•    Researches best practices, recommends next steps, and promotes change initiatives
•    Responsible for special projects and initiatives as assigned
•    Ensures the accomplishment of the following core supervisory/management functions for a given group(s) within a business unit: planning, organizing, directing the performance of on-going activities and/or special/ad hoc assignments, staffing (employee selections, training, coaching and performance management, time entry), coordinating, reporting and budgeting
•    Leads the continuous improvement commitment and efforts for team, including designing processes, establishing quality and quantity standards and metrics, collecting, refining, adapting, and communicating best practices, sharing knowledge, and developing staff in a systematic fashion; uses process design outcomes to solve problems 
 

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of job-relevant experience, which includes a combination of the following: project management, strategic planning analysis, and formal/indirect leadership
Other Qualifications

Preferred
•    Master's of Business Administration (MBA)
•    Previous experience in nuclear power
 
Other Requirements
•    Ability to work with people at all organizational levels
•    Communication, analytical, and strategy formulation skills
