Job Summary:
Under general supervision, coordinates bed assignments for patients admitted to the hospital. This includes, but is not limited to, patients admitted through the Emergency Department, Same Day Surgery and directly through the physician's office. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards in all interactions.

Location: Englewood, NJ
Status: Part time, benefit eligible
Shift: Nights 
Hours: Variable 

Job Responsibilities:

• Accept bed requests for emergency, urgent and elective admissions and transfers.
• Assign beds based on the Bed Flow Guidelines.
• Communicate with the Emergency Department, Nursing Units and MD offices regarding bed assignments, through the bed management system and/or verbal communication.
• Continually assess existing and anticipated admissions from the ED and discharges through the bed management system and contact with the nursing units and the PCDs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
