Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Manager of Patient & Family Engagement, the Coordinator of Guest Relations assists in the execution of all Patient Relations activities. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that patients, families, and visitors achieve an expeditious response/resolution to their concerns and that their needs are met in accordance with regulatory guidelines and best practices. 

The Coordinator of Guest Relations is responsible for ensuring quality grievance reviews and prompt responses along with ongoing service recovery in tandem with patient and guest-facing staff.  In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for related database management and reporting.

Job Essentials:

• Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
• Strong customer service and guest relations abilities
• Database management knowledge and software systems reporting skills.
• Knowledge of general hospital billing/reimbursement systems/guidelines.
• Two years of experience in a related role in customer service/guest relations and/or hospital patient relations.
•  Ability to work with all levels of staff within the Medical Center, empathetic, self-motivated, organized, strong follow-up skills.
•  Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Standards for Service Excellence.

Education Requirements:

• BA/BS in Psychology, Sociology, Nursing, Communications or a related field
