Job Summary:The Englewood Health Physician Network has an exciting full time opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionist. Based on the main campus of Englewood Hospital, this role supports physicians and the healthcare team in the Dept. of Surgery and Surgical Oncology. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, restocking procedure and exam rooms, pre-charting patient information prior to scheduled appointments, rooming patients by properly documenting all vitals, medical history, and screenings, setting up for and assisting with procedures and other necessary tasks to meet the needs of the practice. The MA/MR will make sure to attend to the needs of our patients and efficiently manage the flow of the clinical practice and hospital-based procedure room. Experience with medical terminology, EMR systems (Epic is a plus), collection of specimens, laboratory protocols and knowledge of proper use of gynecology and/or urology equipment is preferred. Must be detail-oriented, organized and able to identify when to escalate certain matters. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus. Education Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistant

License/Certification: 

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)/Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • Current BLS/CPR Certification

Englewood Health job postings provide a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources.
