Position DescriptionJob Summary:
ENSCO is seeking a skilled Production Assembly Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and configuring ENSCO inspection systems and subsystems, including cable building, chassis assembly, wiring, and electronic circuit board repair. You will work closely with technicians and production engineers to ensure high-quality manufacturing processes that meet our stringent quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:- Assemble and configure ENSCO inspection systems and subsystems.
- Perform chassis assembly and wiring following established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair PCBs and electronic chassis.
- Configure and calibrate ENSCO subsystems and assemblies.
- Conduct repair and modification of electronic circuit board
- Install and configure system software and firmware.
- Build and assemble cables and wire harnesses with precision; strong soldering and crimping skills required.
- Perform basic mechanical assembly tasks to support production requirements.
- Address Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) initiated by production.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production schedules.
- Assist in testing and troubleshooting electrical components and systems.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures to deliver reliable, high-quality products.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and efficiency.
- Travel to customer sites (up to 20% of the time) for equipment installation and support, when required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience assembling high-density crimp and solder connection cables.
- Experience wiring electrical panels.
- Experience building shielded cables, including coaxial, data, and network cables.
- Experience with high-density mil-spec connectors.
- Excellent soldering skills.
- Experience testing cables and panel wiring to certify operation.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting cable diagrams, cable assembly drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong work ethic and productivity mindset.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technicians and manufacturing engineers.
- Experience with basic electrical/electronic assemblies, junction boxes, and chassis.
- Strong mechanical assembly knowledge.
- Experience operating basic power tools, including handheld power tools.
- Familiarity with torque wrenches and bolt-tightening requirements.
- Knowledge of mechanical hardware (bolts, nuts, screws, etc.).
- Perform receiving inspection of mechanical parts to ensure compliance with drawings.
- Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.
- Ability to travel 10-20% of the time.
- Associate degree in an electro-mechanical field.
- Experience with software and firmware installations.
- Surface-mount component assembly experience for PCB repair.
- Experience assembling computer rack components.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Adept, and Costpoint tools.
- Basic knowledge of forklift operation.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 management systems requirements.
