The Senior Land Analyst reports to the Land Supervisor for Records.  Senior Land Analyst is responsible for the daily maintenance and administration of the records management program for all Land files and maps, both in hardcopy and electronic format.  Required to abstract and capture relevant legal data associated with right of way and other land documents.  Required to participate in due diligence assignments for new asset acquisitions and asset divestitures. 

  • Analyze and capture relevant legal terms and provisions from easements, real property leases, deeds, and various other land documents and enter them into a database, as well as handle the day-to-day management of land and right of way records.  Update and audit land database as necessary.
  • Participate in land due diligence projects associated with asset acquisitions and divestitures, using both physical and digital maps and records.  Prepare reports associated with due diligence projects. May require travel to various locations to obtain land records and coordinate the transfer of land records to the appropriate office.  Perform all additional duties associated with land files and records for an asset acquisition or divestiture.
  • Assimilate, update, and maintain all land hardcopy and electronic files.  Coordinate with Land Encroachments, Land Lease Administration, and Land Representatives to update the land files with applicable information, as needed.
  • Review alignment maps to identify different pipeline assets and associated surface ownership/grantor information.  Identify any missing legal support documentation for each pipeline system and create a curative list.  Categorize, organize and file documentation in a manner consistent with the alignment map. 
  • Coordinate with and/or support Land Representatives and Managers on in-house land due diligence projects.  Provide applicable due diligence reports in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

 

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Land records administration, management and documentation of pipeline systems
  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
  • Experience correctly interpreting land related legal documents such as easements, permits, deeds, ordinances, and assignments with additional background interpreting plats, alignment sheets, and maps.
  • Real estate title and pipeline document management experience required.
  • Experience working with land or real estate databases (LandWorks / Pandell, CLS Link, Flairdocs, GeoAMPS, Quorum, etc.).
  • Experience with Google Earth required; GIS software (ESRI products) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with concentration on Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills, effective interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Experience with independent problem solving and possess a strong analytical ability with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize workflows, pivot as workloads change, and follow through on assigned tasks.
