Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The Material Handler will be responsible for the management of warehouse inventory within the Enterprise TE Products Beaumont organization. The Material Handler will coordinate material, equipment and supplies through requisitions, transfers, and direct purchasing in accordance with Enterprise procedures to meet area requirements, as further detailed below.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overall coordination warehousing operations, including the ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution of equipment and materials.
- Ensure the company's maintenance, repair, and operations (MOR) supply process is operating in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
- Ensure the warehouse and inventory is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
- Maintain warehouse inventory by physically stocking shelves and using a forklift when needed.
- Deliver parts and materials to the supported facilities as needed to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate work schedules with co-workers to ensure sufficient coverage for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance/turnaround work.
- Provide analysis on part consumption and consumption of facilities and overall area.
- Maintain Oracle warehouse data, conducts physical inventory audits of warehouse accounts, reconciles with accounting systems and prepares material transfers for movement or disposal.
- Oversee and/or assist the annual cycle count process, including key and analyze physical inventories compared to the computer-generated count.
- Authorize and coordinate work performed by contracted area shops for repairs/exchange of remanufactured parts used in plants, storage and exportation systems.
- Conduct regular audits, and maintain tracking of the rebuildable process for company assets to ensure repairable inventory is returned in a timely manner.
- Assist in coordinating area investment recovery functions for surplus material or scrap excess materials and pipe, including identifying suitable surplus material for reuse within the company.
- Work with technicians and supervision to identify and anticipate materials needed for upcoming and ongoing work.
- Coordinate with Operations, Project Managers and Supply Chain to make certain that the purchase orders are being placed within the appropriate time frame.
- Assist with the coordination and scheduling of deliveries.
- Act quickly to order parts and make decision in ordering emergency parts or supplies.
- Maintain knowledge of general ledger account numbers in order to properly code invoices for payment.
- Ensure invoices, purchase orders and delivery documentation are properly accounted for in the accounting software.
- Interact with various departments to resolve problems or answer questions, which may include excessive phone calls with Operations and Maintenance.
- Demonstrate time management skills.
Requirements
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- A valid driver's license with acceptable driving record is required.
- Previous experience as warehouse personnel is preferred.
- Purchasing or expediting experience is preferred.
- Experience in a gas or petroleum related industry is preferred.
- Ability and willingness to work indoors or outdoors in variety of weather conditions is required.
- Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds is required.
- Proficient computer skills are required.
- Teamwork, technical knowledge and concern for accuracy and detail are required.
- Ability to assume responsibility, be flexible, perform duties and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions.
- The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with other individuals, teams, customers, and stakeholders of the business, at various levels of the organization, in a businesslike and professional manner is required.
