Description

The Senior Tank Integrity Project Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for managing tank assessment and repair projects for assigned tanks.
  • Work closely with Control, Safety, Environmental, Land, Procurement, Accounting, Quality Assurance, Scheduling, Commercial, Corrosion Prevention, Field Engineering, and Operations while directing third party contractors and various inspection personnel to safety conduct integrity assessment and repair projects.
  • Prepare inspection plans, requests for quotes, AFEs, job plans, tank repair plans, material requisitions, work orders for services, cost tracking, budgeting, and monthly forecasting and accruals associated with integrity assessment and repair activities.
  • Review, validate and approve invoices within delegated authority limits.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.
  • Provide technical support during the review of Tank Integrity processes and procedures to maintain consistent assessment and repair practices.
  • Stay current with tank regulations, industry standards, inspection methods, NDE methods, repair methods, and other applicable technologies.
  • Proactively evaluate new defect evaluation and repair methods and technologies and drive implementation where appropriate.
  • Identify and drive improvements to Tank Integrity processes.
  • Develop and improve Tank Integrity reporting of performance measures. Analyze performance measures and draw conclusions in order to improve department effectiveness.


Requirements

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
  • A degree in Engineering is preferred
  • API 653 certification is preferred
  • NACE CIP certification is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Tank Integrity, Operations, or equivalent is required.
  • Project Management experience is desired.
  • Excellent communications skills and computer skills including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of the various Federal and State tank regulations including Integrity Management regulations and industry standards including API 650/652/653.
  • Technical knowledge and practical working experience in the design, operation and maintenance of tanks.
