The Gas Scheduler is responsible for scheduling natural gas movements from connected pipelines to downstream markets, pipelines, and shore-based gas processing plants. The Gas Scheduler will also support the Asset Management and Marketing Services groups for the asset assigned. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Compile shipper nominations and other pipeline information in order to coordinate and schedule all receipts and deliveries to/from the system(s) on a daily and /or monthly basis.
- Provide the preparation and communication of daily and/or monthly schedules for the Control Center and connecting carriers in order to coordinate receipts and deliveries to our customers.
- Maintain shipper imbalances and operational balancing agreements on a daily basis and minimize month-end carryover credit and price risk exposure.
- Provide shippers with information for their planning for receipts, deliveries, etc.
- Recommend improvements in methods and procedures used in accomplishing scheduling coordination with all parties involved.
- Coordinate scheduling activities with field operations personnel so as to maximize operational efficiency as issues arise.
- Carry out operations in accordance with Company policy and procedure and all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations at all times.
Requirements
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required. A degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- 2 - 3 years experience in gas scheduling, operations, accounting or scheduling experience in similar oil and gas industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (including Excel, Word & PowerPoint) is preferred.
- Ability to develop/maintain critical relationships both internally and externally across diverse stakeholder groups on a 24/7 basis when on duty, including remaining in contact at night, and on weekends as needed.
- Self-motivated individual with the willingness/ability to work in a high energy environment.
- Ability to think strategically to optimize Enterprise assets to maximize financial and growth objectives.
- Ability to multitask and demonstrate a commonsense approach to problem solving.
