Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.   The Lab Specialist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing laboratory analysis (primarily gas chromatograph) for custody quality measurement and product quality control.
  • Providing technical support for gas chromatographs in the regional area.
  • Managing and reporting quality data to internal/external customers throughout the region.


Requirements

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • Technical coursework beyond high school
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is preferred.
  • 5 years of laboratory industry experience can commensurate with Bachelor's degree.  
  • Experience developing Chromatography specialized test methods and statistical data methods of quality of control is preferred.
  • Experience with Natural Gas liquids and Liquified Petroleum Gas products is preferred.
  • Chemical Hygiene Plan execution experience is preferred.
  • Willing to cover overtime shifts.
  • Experience with:
    • Chromatography basics (both operation and maintenance)
    • Analytical software packages
    • LIMS
    • Wet Chemistry techniques
    • Interpretation of standard testing procedures (GPA, ASTM, and UOP)
    • Procedure review and writing
  • SQC experience in a laboratory environment, interpreting and creating control charts.
  • Possess a strong commitment to personal and job safety.
  • Good verbal/written communication skills, decision-making skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Able to work well with others and able to receive constructive criticism and direction while on Shift.
  • Must possess basic computer skills and be proficient in MS Office applications including but not limited to Excel and Word.
  • Must be accountable and self-driven to learn and continuously develop and improve his/her skills through formalized and on-the-job training.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
