  Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.   The Sr. Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for negotiating and managing strategic agreements for materials, services, and equipment.  This person will form an integral part of the Strategic Sourcing team and will have opportunity for promotion based on performance and experience gained.  He/she can expect to work in a demanding, performance-orientated environment where efficiency, leadership, and collaboration are key drivers to success.  Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify sourcing opportunities through analysis of business and industry data.
  • Drive spend rationalization by leveraging regional and/or company-wide spend with key suppliers.
  • Develop both internal and external relationships to coordinate successful execution of sourcing strategies while maintaining successful and engaged supplier support.
  • Lead and develop resolution plans for issues that arise with key suppliers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholder groups to define and facilitate sourcing strategies and lead associated sourcing events such as RFx or supplier contract negotiations.
  • Lead negotiation of business requirements for complex contract negotiations.
  • Evaluate commercial proposals, prepare and issue commercial bid evaluations for internal review, and provide recommendations to internal stakeholders based on lowest total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Conduct supplier relationship management (SRM) activities to maintain effective relationships with suppliers and drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and interpret market intelligence data and develop a depth of category knowledge to proactively mitigate potential contract and procurement risks.
  • Coordination with Operations, Engineering, Legal, Safety, and Finance to create new contracts and/or amendments to support strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Manage the contracting process for new and existing agreements including reviewing existing contracts, drafting contracts and commercial rate schedules, reviewing redlines from suppliers, creating redlines, working with internal legal counsel, and interpreting contractual language, risks and obligations to stakeholders.


Requirements

 

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: 

  • A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management.
  • 5 years of experience in Sourcing and Procurement, preferably in the energy industry or related industries. 
  • Demonstrated client service experience, especially in meeting the needs and expectations of internal customers.
  • Demonstrated experience in supplier and category management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • A highly motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Proactive, persistent, and takes ownership of responsibilities and issues.
  • Effective negotiator with the ability to influence others.
  • Project leadership experience and a strategic mindset.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer technology with emphasis on Microsoft Office suite of products. 
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage several tasks congruently.
