Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.   The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance and reliability of NGL and Refined Products instrumentation, controllers, and rotating equipment for compressor stations, pipeline stations, and NGL processing Fractionators. and Refined Products Terminals. The Supervisor is also directly responsible for safety of personnel, protection of the environment, and prevention of damage to systems and equipment by ensuring safe work practices, accurate recordkeeping, and regulatory compliance.  Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervises/manages Maintenance and Instrument/Electrical Technicians and supports them in achieving asset goals and objectives by providing access to tools, training, and resources. 
  • Prepares and recommends annual operating budget and is responsible for cost containment measures.
  • Reviews and analyzes various operating data to identify areas of lost opportunity as well as opportunities to increase reliability, optimize operations and lower operating costs.
  • Works closely with the Commercial Team to maximize the profitability of the pipeline system.
  • Works with Plant and Field Supervisors to schedule maintenance, track equipment reliability, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Ensures there is an organized program to minimize downtime, champions use of Enterprise's EMOP process to continuously improve asset mechanical reliability.
  • Ensures compliance with DOT, TRRC, TCEQ, OSHA and other applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Ensures that maintenance group is in compliance with PSM and OQ's
  • Oversees the planning and scheduling of pipeline and maintenance projects.
  • Must be familiar with the EMOP system and work closely with the Schedular Planner.
  • Subject to being able to provide emergency response.


Requirements

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: 
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent Natural Gas Systems (or similar) operations experience. 
  • Experience managing and directing a workforce and managing a facility budget.
  • Five years' experience in plant processing, gas gathering or pipeline transmission.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and able to deal concurrently with a variety of projects and issues.
  • Strong focus on safety and familiarity with requirements of Process Safety Management.
  • Adaptable to a changing work environment.
  • Must live or be willing to relocate within 1 hour of reporting location.
  • Must have computer skills and the ability to maintain records and generate reports.
  • Must have good verbal communication and written documentation skills.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills - with the ability to manage direct reports.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work within a team environment.
