Critical Job Account Management Functions:

  • Answer and respond promptly to client inquiries via phone, mail and e-mail, in a professional and courteous manner, adhering to agency guidelines.
  • Maintain proper file documentation including properly documenting all phone calls, correspondence, and emails in Sagitta and Image Right.
  • Prioritize workflow and follow standard procedures for processing applications, policy changes, renewals, endorsements, audits and cancellations.
  • Accurately process policy changes on carrier websites or via email. Follow up with carriers to ensure all applications and policy changes are processed in a timely manner.
  • Assume ownership of customer concerns and feedback until a successful resolution is achieved.
  • Review client exposures, loss experience and current coverage and provide proactive solutions, and recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Remarket accounts according to agency guidelines. Consider the current program and if warranted, provide other options to the client.
  • Assist with the solicitation of new accounts and retention of existing accounts. Looking for new sales opportunities by cross-selling.
  • Comply with all internal procedures and practices while demonstrating the ability to meet service performance and quality standards.
  • Work well within the team and with Account Executive.

Office Management Functions:

  • The ability to handle office issues as the need arises; including but not limited to answering phone calls, greeting guests, ordering supplies, picking up break room supplies, interacting with building management on maintenance of office, assisting staff/unscheduled visitors with hoteling arrangements, referrals to IT or HR as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to CHRO and President – including overseeing travel, travel itinerary and travel related expenses

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Commercial Lines Insurance on accounts with premium size of $100,000 or greater.
  • Strong customer service skills with an ability to assess insurance coverage needs
  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills to resolve client issues
  • Articulate, self-starter, well organized, and focused
  • Goal oriented and highly motivated and resourceful to achieve results
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Experience in managing office functions (i.e. Daily mail, ordering supplies, building inquiries)

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Property and Casualty Broker's license is required or must be acquired with the first 180 days of employment. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of middle market commercial lines insurance.

Preferred Credentials and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Insurance designation

Technology: Proficient/Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, and PowerPoint and relevant company proprietary databases, experienced in the use of Sagitta and Image Right is a plus.

COMPENSATION: 

The national average salary for this role is $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
