Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Quality Engineer located in Tijuana.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer's role involves:

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Designs sampling procedures and creates forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for the disposition of discrepant material and establishes methods to assess cost and responsibility.
  • Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing products, as well as tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
  • Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
  • Supports Product Engineers and Quality Program Managers with customer interfaces regarding quality-related issues.
  • Ensures availability and integrity of all quality-related data, consolidating and reporting quality results.
  • Initiates corrective action requests as needed and tracks them to satisfactory completion.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of quality audits.
  • Responsible for developing, applying, revising, and maintaining quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
  • Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment.
  • Uses statistical tools to analyze quality data, detecting trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborates effectively with other departments to ensure quality throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Experience in the medical industry (desirable).

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Advanced English
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree
  • Analyzes reports and returned products and recommends corrective action.
  • Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement and analytical equipment and facilities.
  • Approves product, process and equipment qualifications.
  • Provides liaison to various regulatory bodies.
