Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams that build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to add a Quality Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer role involves Maintaining quality engineering programs, standards, and improvements within the organization.
What a typical day looks like:
- Approves product, process, and equipment qualifications.
- Develops and initiates inspection, testing and evaluation standards and methods.
- Develops sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Develops and applies methods and procedures for the removal of discrepant material and devises methods for assessing cost and accountability.
- Directs workers responsible for measuring and testing product and tabulating data relating to materials, product or process quality and reliability.
- Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
- Ensures the availability and integrity of all quality related data. Consolidates and reports quality results.
- Responsible for the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of quality standards for the processing of materials into partially finished products.
- Designs and applies methods and procedures to inspect, test and evaluate the accuracy and precision of products and/or production equipment.
- Analyzes reports and returned products and recommends corrective action.
- Internal and customer communication.
The experience we are looking for to join our team:
- Engineering degree.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools such as: 5WHY, Ishikawa, hypothesis testing etc.
- Expertise in the statistical use of SPC, six sigma, CP, CPK, Gage R&R, MSA, DOE (what they are for, when to use them and how to execute them).
- Strong Knowledge in P-FMEA creation and design and control plan.
- Knowledge of electronics industry concepts (MSL, MRB, Scrap, OEE, Yield, PPMs, RMA, ESD, ECN, DFX/DFM/DFA).
- Knowledge of IPC-610, ISO9001, TUV, UL, CSA, etc.
- Knowledge of reliability and electrical failure analysis, strain gage, X-ray.
- Knowledge and experience in NPIs, AQP phases and PPAP
- Good command of Minitab usage.
- Advanced English level.
