Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Senior Engineer - EH &S position will be based in Sriperumbadur, Chennai.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Overseeing the Maintaining development and implementation of EHS guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable EHS Policies and legal requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risk and ensure a safe and healthy working environment for our employees.
  • Develop and implement EHS programs to constantly improve EHS culture.
  • Manage and run Internal Commission of Accident Prevention at the site.
  • Carry out and manage annual reporting of Program for Medical Control of Occupational & Health and Environmental Risks Prevention Program.
  • Analyze EHS metrics to discover trends and rationalize the allocation of resources to areas where the EHS risk is highest.
  • Conduct regular site walkthroughs to identify hazards, non-compliance and to improve controls.
  • Implement solutions to eliminate exposure to these risks and prevent injury.
  • Lead the site EHS lead to deliver EHS strategic improvements.
  • Establishing training programs for employees to foster a culture of safety and environmental.
  • Handling of customer audits .
  • Cooperating with local environmental and H&S authorities.
  • Identify and lead implementation to ensure compliance with local Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety legislation requirements.
  • Contribute to reduce environmental impacts and maintain a sustainable approach for corporate office activities.
  • Maintain the regulatory framework and keep abreast with new and changed regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Ensure implementation of EHS Policy aligned with Corporate EHS Policy, Standards and Programs.
  • Conduct EHS audits of our facilities and ensure that control measures are put in place to eliminate or mitigate identified risks.
  • Establish internal assessment/audit processes in alignment with Global and Regional strategic objectives.
  • Ensuring effectiveness of identified control measures through a monitoring and measurement program
  • Set objectives and targets for EHS performance improvement.
  • Ensure EHS incidents are reported and investigated, and provide guidance and support to ensure Corrective and Preventive Measures are identified and allocated to relevant stakeholders to prevent incidents recurrence.
  • Ensure timely accurate reporting of EHS incidents to relevant authorities.
  • Analysis and evaluation of leading and lagging indicators and EHS performance periodically.
  • Lead site's risk assessments and oversee the implementation of mitigation measures.
  • Monitor & track the site internal EHS audit process — ensuring that all audits are completed and properly documented.
  • Conduct site audits to ensure compliance with ISO 14001 & 45001 standards.
  • Adhering to TNPCB & CPCB regulation regarding waste management and recycling requirements, EPR requirements .
  • Analyze EHS data trends and advise leadership on the appropriate recommendations to prevent new or recurring accidents.
  • Effectively lead incident investigations, ensure proper classification, and drive the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement work processes to address evolving safety programs focused on prevention of Injuries
  • Report Monthly Safety Report that communicates safety performance metrics and safety program messaging
  • Handling of waste management as per Legal and corporate standards & procedure.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Typically requires a RLI safety or ME Industrial engineering safety
