Job Summary

To support our extraordinary team who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a/an  Sr. Production Manager - Manufacturing Located in Fontana California

The Sr. Production Manager is accountable for the management of production teams and processes to ensure timely, high-quality manufacturing of product and systems. This role involves planning, coordination, and oversight of the production workflow, with a focus on optimizing efficiency, meeting production goals, and upholding safety and quality standards. The Senior Production Manager also leads efforts to improve operational performance, manage staff, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with other managers and supervisors to coordinate activities in and among departments.
  • Ensure smooth handover of information between shifts, including production status, issues, and targets.
  • Coordinate and work closely with other departments to assure the attainment of production schedules, quality goals and safety objectives are met within deadlines given.
  • Conduct end-of-shift reports and ensure that the incoming shift is fully briefed on production priorities.
  • Collects, evaluates, analyzes, and assesses production data; ensures that production capacity meets customer demand by coordinating resource allocation and production scheduling. Track labor hours to demand hours to manage labor utilization
  • Assign personnel to projects based on workload and capabilities.
  • Regularly inspects and evaluates products for quality and defects.
  • Identifies and corrects problems and inefficiencies in process, materials, equipment, or skills.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices including those related to safety and health.
  • Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations within the production facility.
  • Investigate accidents or near-misses report promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Develops and implements procedures and strategies to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Collaborates with other departmental managers to develop and execute budgets.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Thorough understanding of safety and health laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Thorough understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and other effective manufacturing and distribution techniques.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Experience/Education:

  • Associates degree in related field, or equivalent industry work experience required; Bachelors degree in Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience in the following disciplines is a plus: mechanical assembly, metal fabrication, and electrical wiring.

Pay Range (Applicable to California) $98,600.00 USD - $135,600.00 USD Annual Job Category Operations
