To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Supply Chain Manager located in Austin, TX.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager the Supply Chain Manager in charge of directing the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and procedures within the organization related to supply chain management. In charge of managing and overseeing the methods and processes in hold up of both new and existing products. Customer face and strategic.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Participates in the review of vendor and customer contracts by outlining requirements and considerations.
  • Checks materials related to data research.
  • Participates with other senior managers in establishing corporate strategic plans and goals.
  • Directs the activities of supply chain managers and staff and oversees planning, budgeting, and maintaining costs for a broad functional area.
  • Interacts regularly with executives, customers and vendors.
  • Drives supply chain management strategies to deliver customer requirements and maintain Flex's financial drive.
  • Provides supplier management as related to product development and integration.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training. Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of supply chain management experience or similar field, including supervision
  • Demonstrates advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business.
  •  Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site. Use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: typing, telephones, data entry, HR related and office software to include, word processing, spread sheets, and presentation packages. Must have a good knowledge of employment law and company practices, with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  •  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Impacts the medium term direction and operational success of the function. Executes and provides input to functional plans and objectives for the site. Enhances and provides input to functional processes or technologies. Has experience in leading major initiatives and provides input to those initiatives. May have P&L responsibility for sections/sub-functions.
  • Makes decisions for the function and the site. Decisions may affect site
  • Demonstrates experience in performance development, teaching/leading, mentoring and/or organization development. Instills appropriate behavior in others in support of Flex values. Supports strategic direction for the function.
