WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Vice President of Safety will be responsible for leading and executing our enterprise-wide safety strategy. This role will focus on injury prevention, regulatory compliance, risk management, and fostering a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities include:

· Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement company-wide safety policies, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.

· Compliance & Risk Management: Oversee OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory compliance to mitigate risk and reduce workplace incidents.

· Incident Prevention & Investigation: Lead efforts to identify root causes of workplace accidents, implement corrective actions, and track safety performance metrics.

· Training & Development: Design and implement safety training programs for all levels of the organization to enhance safety awareness and accountability.

· Culture of Safety: Drive continuous improvement in safety culture, engaging leadership, plant managers, and frontline employees in proactive safety initiatives.

· Crisis Management & Emergency Response: Develop and oversee emergency preparedness plans and response protocols.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, HR, and legal teams to ensure safety is embedded in all business practices.

· Metrics & Reporting: Analyze safety data to track performance, identify trends, and report to executive leadership.

· Industry Best Practices: Stay informed of evolving safety regulations and trends, implementing best practices to maintain a world-class safety program.

YOUR MUST HAVES:

· Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.

· 10+ years of progressive safety leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing, food processing, or industrial environments.

· Extensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.

· Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience building and leading high-performing safety teams.

· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence all levels of the organization.

· Experience in risk management, safety auditing, and training program development.

· Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret safety data and drive decision-making.

WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:

· Master's degree in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.

· Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other recognized safety certifications.

· Experience leading safety programs in a multi-site, multi-shift environment.

· Strong project management skills with a focus on continuous improvement.

· Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) to support a diverse workforce.

OUR ENVIRONMENT:

This is a hybrid role, requiring frequent travel to company locations and time at our corporate headquarters. The position involves on-site visits to production facilities, requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
