Position Summary:  

Responsible for and manages all financial, accounting, processes and internal controls the accounting and financial activities in the business as well as being a trusted business partner that has an operational/business mindset who can deliver results that improve the business working with business leaders and auditors.  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works effectively with a wide array of plant personnel ranging from hourly employees to senior management
  • Manages and develops a team focused on business partnering, advisory, continuous improvement efforts, and data driven analysis/decision making
  • Oversees preparation of financial statements and analysis, budgets and forecasts, and variance analysis of actual performance results.
  • Maintains fiscal responsibility and ensures the establishment and administration of adequate internal controls within the organization.
  • Helps drive profitable decision making and maximizing return on assets by preparing and analyzing financial data along with operational metrics.
  • Understands and remains close with the operations of the business and operators, providing them with financial analysis and business insights to help with decision making
  • Presents analysis findings to various leaders in the business.
  • Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and developing employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results. 

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • General understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Work independently with little or no oversight
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office suite of products and accounting software
  • Strong analytical/critical thinking
  • Big data modeling, financial modeling, automation experiences

Position Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

CPA preferred

Experience: 

7+ years of experience, preferably at a manufacturing company

Oracle R12 and Hyperion Financial Management experience preferred

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Office Environment

Ability to sit for long periods of time

Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
