A day in the life of Inventory Control Technician at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
- Assists in breaking down the pallets and unpacking delivery boxes in designated areas.
- Transport supplies to the OR. Puts supplies in the proper location in the OR always rotating stock to maintain First
In and First Out. - Checks for expired items and removes them from inventory to be documented. Monitors inventory levels of basic OR items
- and notifies Inventory Controller when items need to be reordered.
- Participates in product recalls as directed. Maintains a safe and orderly area.
- Receives and inspects the packaging integrity of incoming material, supplies, and equipment.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs is required
- Minimum 1 year receiving/ storeroom, shipping, or general warehouse experience is preferred
- Basic computer skills preferred
