Job Summary This position plays a unique role in driving the realization of strategy by creating and/or using integrated views of the enterprise to align the business motivation, business operations and technology landscape in delivering the desired business outcomes. This role works heavily with leadership across all levels of the organization as well as collaborating with multiple areas in interpreting strategy into clearly defined scope and prioritized courses of action. In addition, this role will provide guidance and governance on enterprise models and frameworks including mentoring/coaching other architects.

NOTE: This hybrid role (3 days in office) can be in CHICAGO IL or RICHARDSON TX ~ relocation will not be offered; sponsorship is not available.

 

Required Job Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years' experience driving the delivery of medium to large scale transformations in complex, cross-functional organization or 11 years' experience driving the delivery of medium to large scale transformations in complex, cross-functional organization. 

  • A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of understanding for strategy, processes, and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance 

  • The ability to recognize issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies 

  • The ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings, and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues 

  • Experience using model-based views that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex information about the business 

  • Business Intelligence proficiency with the ability handle and visualize data in meaningful ways 

  • Experience planning and deploying business and IT initiatives in a complex, cross-functional organization 

  • Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques 

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations 

  • The ability to act as liaison conveying strategy and information needs of the business to IT and technology and data constraints to the business 

  • The ability to help the enterprise understand what business and IT initiatives provide the benefit realization and service delivery that aligns with strategic imperatives 

  • Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus 

 

 

Preferred Job Qualifications:  

  • 12+ years driving the delivery of medium to large scale transformations in complex, cross-functional organization (Primarily Finance)

  • Possess industry-recognized architecture credentials, such as the Certified Business Architect designation from the Business Architecture Guild or the TOGAF 9.2 Practitioner designation from The Open Group. 

  • Healthcare experience preferred but not required
