The IT Intern will focus their duties supporting the IT Infrastructure team but may also be able to support the Applications team with select items.  The Intern will work for different senior level IT members depending upon what task they are supporting.

Essential Duties

  • Imaging laptop computers for deployment
  • Deploying new laptop computers to new hire employees or those in our refresh program
  • Supporting IT Help Desk – responding to support tickets and cleanup of old tickets
  • Reviewing current backup solutions deployed over the company that are licensed for and developing documentation and testing out each of the solutions
  • Monitoring of CMMC compliance regulations and standards
  • Monitoring information security policies and procedures
  • Monitoring cybersecurity awareness and training; sending out notifications to those whose training is past due
  • Researching emerging security threats and vulnerabilities and advising management on appropriate countermeasures
  • Performing risk assessment and vulnerability analysis
  • Troubleshooting systems issues and interfacing with application providers, hosting providers, and systems vendors on support issues
  • Conducting research to solve complex problems, understand trends and support the formulation of business unit IT strategies
  • Delivering simple to complex technical solutions with limited to moderate supervision
  • Performing other duties as assigned
    • Assist with the Box – Meta Data deployment
    • Assist with the deployment of our new Evolve Application – assist with the migration off of Winshuttle / RunShuttle to the Evolve solution

 Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:

  • HS Diploma; Must be enrolled in an accredited computer science, information security or related program
  • Proven problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and analytical problem solving
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, willing to work overtime and travel between N.E. Ohio facilities located in Solon and Geneva, as needed
  • Demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office)

This position requires access to, or use of export-controlled technical data or technology controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Accordingly, applicants must be U.S. Persons or must be eligible to obtain the required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.
