Description
Holyoke Medical Center are seeking an experienced Director of Perioperative Services to manage and oversee the delivery of safe and effective nursing care to patients in the Operating Room, Short Stay Surgery and PACU
The Opportunity:
- The incumbent will plan and direct the development of annual budgets and will manage fiscal resources within the budget.
- Establish and achieve goals and objectives for the department consistent with Nursing and Hospital goals.
- Develop, establish, and maintain policies and procedures for the department.
- Plan and implement education programs for staff in-services, continuing education, skills and competency development and specific mandatory educational requirements.
- Assume duties of clinical supervisor, as necessary, and administer direct nursing care to patients.
- Will have a positive “hands on” leadership style with a strong operations background that allows for collaboration across varying teams and be a strong communicator, listener, and effective manager with a history of positive employee relations.
