Description
The ID Logistics Logistic Team Leader manages their team’s activity and organizes their work to achieve the defined objectives. They are a line manager and are responsible for the quality of the work carried out in compliance with internal processes and the rules of health and safety for goods and people, as well as observing customer specifications. MANAGEMENT RESPONSABILITIES LEVEL – TEAM LEADER
- Plans, manages, and controls teamwork, defines clear rules with clear objectives and expectations.
- Communicates on the road map and the final goals, knows his/her team members and their key motivations in order to inspire them by showing them the usefulness of their work and by making it rewarding for them.
- Sets up with the team a periodical routine (brief type) of communication / monitoring / measurement of the activity and objectives of his/her area.
- Encourages and supports the team by making any feedback random and formal (recognition, improvement, reframing). Ensures that all employees are at the expected level, provides support and/or training as required.
- Promotes and supports process improvement, internal innovation programs and encourages collaborators to participate.
GENERAL ACTIVITIES
- Scales the workforce and equipment according to volume forecasts to plan the operation to meet the performance requirements. Prioritises operations according to the constraints observed in the field and provides supervision.
- Maintains regular communication with the customer and coordinates the execution of any specific requirements.
- Knows and applies the health and safety rules and procedures of ID Logistics and in force locally, in his/ her area of responsibility.
- Analyses equipment checklists and ensure that corrective actions are taken according to defined procedures. Anticipates operational problems to propose continuous improvement actions within his/her scope of responsibility.
- Carries out the organization of the workplace in accordance with procedures objectives of the sector.
- Verifies that the procedures and objectives are up to date, responds to audits when necessary, according to certifications established for the unit.
- Provides and monitors key performance indicators, ensures continuity of information between his/her team, hierarchy, and internal partners.
- Analyses and communicates deviations between planned and actual values as well as initiation of appropriate corrective measures in coordination with the operational management in the warehouse.
- Knows and applies the health and safety rules and procedures of ID Logistics and in force locally, in his/ her area of responsibility.
Shift Wed-Sat 7am-530pm
Salary $22 + 1.50 Shift Differential
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- A-level to 2 years of study in higher education or equivalent through experience.
- Training in transport, logistics and management.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in a team leadership function.
